i dont know, if i did i could not put that exact ticket in, i have 2 buddies who are in for 500 each, so thats a 1500 budget.

jcs11204 06-10-2008 08:37 PM

i might just play the late pick 4
i think thats hitable on a cheap ticktet, like 20-30

That's probably a good idea since your Pick 6 ticket singles a John Hertler horse whose win last time out was almost a second slower than a rival's maiden win on the same card. You've also omitted what is the likeliest winner in the 8th in my opinion, Forest of Dreams. This horse had a bundle of excuses last year. He ran very well first time out considering James Jerkens rarely has firsters ready to pop. Then he received two of the most laughable rides I've ever seen from Kent Desormeaux at Saratoga. He stumbled horribly in his 2nd career start and was then gunned in a pace that was rather swift and understandably quit. In his third career start he broke on top and was then wrangled back to the rear of the field before putting in a huge late move to run third behind subsequent graded stakes winner Now A Victor. He faced a nothing field in his '08 debut but did what he was supposed to do. He's bred OK for the turf and isn't exactly in against much here.

Just my $0.02.

It should still take more than 10 minutes to construct a serious Pick 4 ticket.

I disagree - if you've already handicapped it what takes so long?

Try. . . and I don't know what he meant by that. I was speaking more in general.

i meant in the 4 i would not use coa at 20-1 in the last, possibly stand alone with kent.
i would not single the 6 in the 7th, i would use jv as welll...
my problem is the 6th, i dont see dancing tin man a lock at all, i think 7 horses have a shot 1,2,3,6,7,8

thats my problem...
a pick 6 contest
and a real money pick 4 are totally different things
