Since Easy Goer wasn't on the list, I voted Man O' War.

cowgirlintexas 05-24-2008 06:46 PM

Voted for Man O' War. Tough to choose between him and Secretariat...In a race between them and Big Brown.. Would have to say Big Brown in 3rd..At this point anyhow. He would have to go on and win the Belmont by 20 lengths, and win the Breeders Cup against Curlin for me to put him past those two greats. I love the horse, but can't imagine him beating one of them.

Usually I don't take personal shots at people but Cannon Shell is a true idiot. How could he make a list like this and not include Zippy Chippy and Rick's Natural Star? Stupid.

Cajungator26 05-24-2008 07:19 PM

Now that I think about it, Master David should be on that list.

if big brown won the belmont by 20, and beat curlin, you'd move him ahead of secretariat and man o war?
remarkable.

oh, i'd definitely move him past tapit if he did the above. now, had tapit won the belmont by 20, and having beaten master david, he'd definitely move ahead of the two big reds.

Yes. I thought it was pretty obvious that each horse on the poll except for Man o'War and Secretariat was a horse that has been way over-hyped. I was always firmly in the Bernardini-is-over-hyped camp.

People have short memories. Bernardini was being showered with "one for the ages" accolades, too, similar to what we're hearing about Big Brown now. Thankfully Bernardini ran in the Breeder's Cup. We probably won't have that luxury with Big Brown.

you are joking ? i hope. i can't believe funnycide and big brown are even in the survey. by the way bernardini beat mostly crap. the travers he won was the weakest field i ever saw and i've been going to it for 30 years. besides curlin , afleet alex is probably the best recent horse. if he doesn't get in trouble in the derby, he wins the TC. his preakness was awesome, i've never seen a horse recover and win like that .

man of war. when any of these horse go 20 for 21. well they will never come close. they don't even run 20 times any more

pointgivenpap 05-25-2008 11:48 AM

best horse

you forgot a lot of horses on the list , but it doesn't matter cause secretariat was the best. Seabiscut should have been a least a nomination for the best heart category

pointgivenpap 05-25-2008 11:59 AM

people are actually voting for tapit

War admiral , citation, real horses- tapit was a half a pig to be considered best horse - people voting for him are to close to the glue factory
