How will the turf come up today? By the 8th?

on the CD site they have it as firm since 8:30 this morning. Lane3 22ft. Leaving the question bolded for anyone with firsthand knowledge.



I wouldn't be shocked if that Five star Theif gets up for 4th. You look at his form and those were decent races in terms of raw times and final quarters. He switched to dirt and had a bad race. Then the layoff and he comes back into a fast 6.5 on the dirt and ran fairly evenly. Would be nice if CD could get video replays up today, and I could see if he was wrapped up or abused in the stretch. Today returns to ideal surface and distance offers big boost to dime super.

From the quotes I've seen it seems that Fischer has selected just about EVERY horse in the race.

I like Bullara. I am really looking to see if AP Excellent is heavily backed. I think that horse is finished, and I am looking for the underlay. Otherwise I will pass the race.

Really like Winyah as an exacta horse in this race. Has some proven turf form and a rerun of his FG race should have him in the hunt. Should help pump up the price as he will be overlooked. Plenty of pace in here to push A.P. Excellent and not convinced that first turfers Wicked Style and Dominican will both run wild. Will have to cover with Bullara also but still believe there is a dollar to be made.

very oddly run race with Bullara and Wicked style playing no part in the pace, and Winyah going out on the pace. Sometimes you don't see what you would expect. Hopefully VOL JACK crushed this race again with Faith's Magic!
