which can lead to muddled classic contests. i don't think gayego is a 'need to burn it up on the lead' type, but rather a horse with a high cruising gear. if he can stay the distance he's an easy place. |
welll, it's hard to tell any more who has what. not many 10f races any more, so they are slim pickings in a horses resume'. but i'd think gayego would stack up to big brown pedigree-wise. really, at this point, pedigree doesn't mean much-everyone is pushing for sprinter/milers-you just need to have a horse who can outgasp the others for that last furlong or so.
the bigger question will become who can run on what surface on any given race day. |

Lost Code AWD - 6.32 furlongs Lost Code has BY FAR the lowest AWD of any damsire in the race.. Where do you get that he's some kinda great stamina influence? |
Tiznow over Turkoman is 10f breeding. (That's Colonel John, by the way.)

wasn't meaning to compare the horses per se, just that I think Gayego would need that kind of trip to be a factor. |

my whole point is that it really doesn't matter anyway. so many winners for years now are horses who supposedly can't get the distance. |

i could use gayego or z fortune the arkansas derby has been very influential. both these horses offer a square price derby day
|
BBJ has 6 reine de course on his bottom line. That leads me to believe he'll get the distance. He's from the family of Nearctic.
