THE DT Nation will rise and help out Scavarino, this is not a doubt.

I just found out that I can watch Keeneland races live from my work.....They must either like the Keeneland site or not have blocked it yet.

Odds on getting fired = not really sure :)

TOMMORROW MEANS NOTHING right now. CRUSHING today means EVERYTHING.

Since when do you bet 3/5??

Just wanted to say hi and thank you guys for your insights. I have been playing the horses for 30 years and since joining Derbytrail, have changed my betting style do to your styles and advice. I now pretty much play pick 3's and 4's exclusively, and have a much healthier bankroll than i used to. My home track is Fort Erie, and i spend my summer there, even though i now need a passport to go to the track, but i can't wait to put what i've learned from you guys in action.
Thanks again and know i appreciate all the work that goes into your picks and postings.
Good luck and good health...

Mike,

What a nice compliment this is to everyone that contributes their insight at DT. It means a great deal to me to hear that people have done well or improved their enjoyment of the game via the website. I also know that those that make their raceday opinions public here appreciate hearing that it is time well spent. Continued success and don't be shy about 'mixing it up' with the Trail faithful...

Regards,
Steve

Scavocaster,

Rub the sleep out of your eyes and please point out to me where in that post did I say I was betting on her?

I just said she was interesting. BIG play against, because they will pound her.

If she wins by 10 do they get Oaks Fever?

the_fat_man 04-09-2008 01:44 PM

It's amazing how Kent D finds ways to make the simple difficult.

I highly doubt they are that dumb, but....

TFM, I'm watching on the small screen (with buffering). Was that Kent on the inside with the white cap trying to force his way through in the stretch? That was the point I lost my video.

*edit* Replay coming up, I'll check it out.

*edit #2* COMEDY, I lost the video on the backstretch this time. I guess I'll watch the replay when I get home.

Very interesting when comparing the pan shot with the headon.

In the straight shot it appears that Kent was on the inside, chasing, while in fact he was in 4 path. So, it makes sense when horses passed him on the inside late backstretch (guess the inside is not the place to be). What doesn't make sense is why he shuffled the horse back. Got her stuck behind horses, as a result.

In the stretch, he was waiting for room, on the wrong lead, bulled his way through, knocking the horse to his outside out into another horse, then changed leads and took off.

Also, the 7 ducked out at the break; I mean severely. The type of duckout you typically see when a horse is on the outside.

Wonder why the stewards didn't look into the stretch run.

They've made some interesting calls and non-calls so far this meet. There was one in Saturday's 7th. While I watched it live, I thought the winner was coming down....they never had an inquiry.

I can't believe I just got nosed by Freedom Alert. I know he has been working well but come on....

Thought you were on Unjust?

I singled #6 Elite Squadron in a Pick 3. Does Keeneland use Post Time Fav as replacement, or pay consos?

Think you are getting post time favorite, but I could be wrong

Scav 04-09-2008 02:58 PM

Byk, relook at that sheet and tell me we didn't miss out on this one. Ran a good number on a dead rail last time, gets off the rail and finishes strong. Trainer is unplayable, but jock is playable. Missed opportunity right there as an include I think....

Mike 04-09-2008 03:19 PM

I'm going with Looky Yonder(Dutrow) here, surprised at the opening of 18-1, as Brisnet's Handicapper's Edge picks Looky Yonder as the upset, also.

Scav 04-09-2008 03:19 PM

I am absolutely sick to my stomach seeing this horse open up at 9/5....
