The SEC has more good teams than other conferences but that does not make them a better conference, just bigger. It is the same thing with Yankee fans. Just because they have some really good players they get picked to win every year. Of course everyone overlooks the flaws that will eventually kill them. And when they lose they come up with BS like Arod is not a winner or Torre isn't hungry enough. Instead of seeing that they have no reliable pitching and a bunch of guys who are not quite there or are on the decline. LSU simply isn't that good on either side of the ball. They are good but not great. Tennessee, KY, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas are all fair teams. Georgia and Fl are pretty good. If ever there was a year that a superior conference would dominate, it would be this year. But of course that is not the case.

no, i like lsu, and would like to have seen them win, but i have no problem in saying they played poorly on both sides of the ball, that their coaches had no plan, and that they were outplayed and outcoached yesterday. they escaped several close calls earlier this year, and their half assed play caught up with them twice in ot's. i think they believed too much of the hype surrounding them.
as for dominating, i just think that the sec is loaded, and any one of those schools can win each week. it's not like many other conferences where you have one or two decent teams, and everyone else is just filler.
i think the sec is the best conference, but i don't think that conference is far and away the best. but someone has to be the top, and i feel comfortable in saying that the sec is the deepest and most contentious group of teams out there.
