Its very similar to T-breds in the aspect that alot of it is about the trip. I followed Balmoral religiously for quite some time, and when the horses are racing every 7-10 days, it makes it a bit easier to cash back on the troubled trips.

I need to give of the T-Breds and go back to the 1 mile harness tracks at night.

I watch the Big M alot, and it seems when one of the horses are in good form, they can beat almost anyone. Plus it seems like the same horses race against each other every week. Another angle I have trouble with is horses coming over from 1/2 and 5/8 mile tracks. I just don't know what to do with them.

I will just about always bet against a horse coming off a win at a short track from an inside post. The great majority of the time, they will be overbet. I tend to try and find horses from those tracks coming from the outside, that may show even just the slightest bit of closing kick. There can be a ton of value there.

I do try to bet what I percieve to be closers. There are just so many variables with these horses. With the T-breds, you know who will probably be on the lead and who will be coming from behind. With the trotters, a speed horse that has an outside post might try to tuck and wait.
By the way I just noticed no Sears tonight.

I noticed that too...that was why I liked Proud Moment in the 5th. He was scheduled to drive and I took that as a good sign. Didn't work out..:o

Do you know where Goodell came from?

Good luck in the last leg of the pick 4. Been Chalky so far, maybe you can get a price home here.

Just saw the will pays anywhere from 142 dollars to 412 dollars. By the way Greg Merton always seems to be live when he drives at the Meadowlands.

I will be surprised if his horse in the 9th doesn't take some serious late money. I was surprised at the early action Tetricks horse took.

He was confidently driven and had the perfect trip. Manzi sitting like a statue in the stretch, he is such a stiff.

winner was 12-1 ML, opened up at 9-5 and wins for fun at 5-1

MaTH716 11-21-2007 09:21 PM

Merton's horse was 7-2 ML and he didn't take any money. You really have to watch the board at that place.

MaTH716 11-21-2007 09:29 PM

Did you have the exacta? I know those were your 2 double horses.

outofthebox 11-21-2007 09:34 PM

Heading to the Breeders Crown on Sat night. Cant wait to try out the new Racing Eye form. Is it an optical illusion or does the starting gate have an staggered start giving the outside post a little head start?
