I'm listening to this double talk nonsense, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who is outraged!

Hickory Hill Hoff 11-09-2007 03:52 PM

* Last Friday night did have one sad moment as 9-year-old track-record holder Northwest Hill broke down midway through the turn in the fourth race and had to be euthanized. The classy veteran had won 16 races in 72 starts, and earned $346,674. Owned by Maggi Moss and trained by Dick Clark, Northwest Hill set the Prairie Meadows record for a mile and 70 yards (1:39.69) in 2003.
Running for a $5000 tag and died on the track he set a record on!

geeker2 11-09-2007 03:53 PM

OK..I am now puking...

Hickory Hill Hoff 11-09-2007 03:53 PM

Riot 11-09-2007 03:56 PM

The "everybody does it" defense is full of horse crap.

Hickory Hill Hoff 11-09-2007 03:56 PM

Spoken like a lawyer.....next.

golfer 11-09-2007 03:57 PM

She just said something to the effect of: I have fired trainers for doing terrible things to my horses.... Gary Contessa?????

Hickory Hill Hoff 11-09-2007 03:58 PM

Let's hear from Rick, explain his side.....

Chart from 6/30/07 Northwest Hill.

There was a huge thread on another forum, but the owner took it down............must have been the fear of attorneys.

Yeah I remember that too.....

Scav 11-09-2007 04:05 PM

I was on hold but I was freezing my ass off and I am not going to go off after a conversation like he has now.

SHE IS OUT OF HER MIND. She essentially said that the public thinks that ALL TRAINERS CHEAT now when this couldn't be FARTHER from the truth.

I WAS PRAYING he was going to let me on with her. I wanted ONE question answered?

How would she explain the CONSTANT movement of claimed horses, from a guy that has had suspension after suspension?

And, she is NUTS for sayin

**** it, I am calling again.

You know, these owners have to stick together :D

I haven't change my opinion and her statement sure hasn't cleared anything up.
