I'll take your action on the top 10 in the BC bet... :D

Not sure how you can disparage that performance. On top of that, Baroness Thatcher has been proven to be a useful horse at a mile and less.

You can say turf turf turf.......... well, okay then....... dirt, dirt, dirt :p

Come over here an challenge us. Give Royal Ascot a try next year, we will even pay the horses travelling fees. BUT nooooo, there isn't a chance. Poor little horses can't be drugged up over here :p

but they sure can over here, which every euro trainer takes full advantage of as soon as the horses arrive.

Not disparaging that effort at all. I said she'd be a major threat in the BC next year when it is on the cushion track. I just don't think she's particularly good on the dirt. Baroness Thatcher may be useful at a mile or less but the Black Eyed Susan wasn't at a mile or less. I think the Alabama was a good representation of where Panty stands on the dirt. They should go in the FM Turf, she's at least got a shot of cracking the top five there although I'd have to see what Euros came before I could even give her that.

Ummmm, not every euro trainer does!

Most do to make sure it is a level playing field, why would you give horses what is seen as an unfair advantage?

I don't agree with it, and i think it is the main cause of so many breakdowns.

giving lasix causes breakdowns??

as for suddenly wanting a level playing field, i would still call it hypocritical to complain about drug use, and then use the same things you're complaining about. if you're a purist, why would you suddenly not be because of the opportunity? what, your horse is suddenly a bleeder because he's in the states?

good for him!
i don't think any aussie horses use either, as i think it would cause problems for them upon returning to their home country.

It certainly doesn't help.

I don't know what the trainers are thinking about when they use it, my guess is the level playing field. I wish none of the european trainers used it to be honest. I cannot help in the long run on the return to european shores. We have many remedies and such over here that are legal, but most of which are complete rubbish.

Thats the best argument you can come up with?

Anyone who thinks Lasix causes breakdowns probably thinks cell phones cause cancer and the earth is flat. Lack of evidence is always a pesky little problem when people bring up rubbish like Lasix causes breakdowns

I was reading a study recently which said that "the consensus among well-designed population studies is that there is no consistent association between cell phone use and brain cancer." Despite this fact, 30% of Americans still believe that cell phone use actually DOES cause brain cancer. What are these morons basing this opinion on? Who the hell knows.
As you say, a lot of people seem to enjoy endorsing theories despite the fact that there is no evidence whatsoever to support it.
