Its always "Hall of Fame Rider Gary Stevens", or G. Stevens or Gary Lynn Stevens. Never simply Gary Stevens

yesterday you could actually see real tension between Schrupp and the Sarge. The Sarge looked like he wanted to deck Schrupp, and frankly, who could blame him.

Some of it is interesting but its mostly comedic.

How could i forget that clown, Schrupp. I like getting his picks for the toss outs. Has he ever gave out a pick 4?
However, Simon Bray, frank Lyons, and Matt C. are pretty good handicappers.

Since you seem to be her agent maybe you could arrange an introduction at Sar when I'm mucking.

Nice to know someone is watching, much less having their day brightened!;)

Cannon, wanna be famous on TV?

I've always liked the Trackfacts show. I think Tom and Nick do a great job. I've come to know Tom Amello personally over the last couple of years. I very much like his style and he's very sharp as well. He's got his ear to the ground, his finger on the pulse and knows what's going on. More importantly, he's a super-nice guy.

Same's true for Nick...we did a show on horse racing on public access before he joined forces with Tom. It was real fun and Nick has learned a lot with only following thoroughbred racing for less than 20 years.

I know everyone cannot be pleased but I was not real happy with TVG and kinda fired up to see CD on HRTV. Now that I have HRTV I actually think they are worse than TVG....

Probably we have not met. I am a figment.

I'll cheer'em on in the 8th.

Linny 06-30-2007 09:09 AM

Eighth was a debacle on yielding grass.

Mucker, I know plenty of figments. In fact I talk with them all the time.

Horse did not run bad 'til 3/4 or so as you observed.. He needed race. Barn seemed pleased. He was arriving home as I was finishing mucking.

Let no one notice you are figmenting aloud. You'll end up in a facility.
headed there now for a nap.:)

Today's shortcoming?

Discussion of HOL Carryover card and the 7th in particular... How do you talk about this race ($100,000 Landaluce S.) and not mention that #8 Ever So Pretty is Stormello's full sister? Or talk about #7 Another Aleyna and not have it occur to note she's half to stakes winner We All Love Aleyna?

Because people don't keep up with pedigrees?

Jame..

I guess... I don't 'keep up' with them either as some do. But seeing a Bill Currin-Al Eisman bred 2yo by Stormy Atlantic, through Wilshewed, it should be automatic to anyone that followed the Derby Trail this year that this was Stormello's sister. And I had no idea about the 'Aleyna's', but seeing the name 'Another Aleyna' made it obvious that that one was 'We All Love Aleyna's' sister.. Seems basic. Maybe it's not important to them and the viewers. But if it was noteable to me, I imagine it would be of interest to viewers.

Working quite well for her debut, but Bill Currin has a $0.33 ROI with 2 yr old firsters over the last 5 years (1 win in 25 starts). This one may be overbet because of the bloodlines and may be one to take a stand against.

Stormello finished 6th in his debut on June 9, 2006, took a break and won his next out at Del Mar. Currin may be looking to do the same with this one

What I said before her debut.....famous last words.
