edit - Okay awake now... very happy for him. Love this one...

He looked a different horse today, you know as well as me he has the head gear on to make him concentrate.... but today he really stuck his neck out when it looked like Scorpion was going to nail him on the line.

The softer ground wouldn't have suited him either, so i'd rate this as a very good performance from him.

Sorry I wasn't here to post results, had to get up really early this morning for work so had to go straight to bed when I got home from my Dad's birthday dinner!

I've managed to avoid seeing results so far which is lucky, I recorded all the races so I can watch them when I get home.

Highlights of the week anyone?

I loved Silkwood's Ribblesdale win, Miss Andretti in the King's Stand, the awesome finish in the Hampton Court and Richard Hills hugging Maraahel after the Hardwicke, but for me it has to be the Golden Jubilee.

At first I was slightly disappointed to see the Takeover Target run down after such a brave run, but then I heard what Soldier's Tale has had to endure in his life and how much the stable love him and I changed my mind. He REALLY deserved that G1 win, and I'm delighted that he got it.

highlight of the week for me was probably manduro beating a very strong field quite comfortably. the world is his oyster..Miss Andretti blitzing the field on the first day was something else as well. Silkwood showed she is a G1 filly in all but name and the Henry bandwagon is still right on track.. Great week and roll on the Curragh next week..

Manduro was brilliant. A horse i really like, and he is still improving. He could turn out to be the best ten furlong horse by far this year. He beat a class field really easily in the end. Silkwood looked fantastic, too. Stepping up on all known form to win really well.

I'm so glad Soldier's Tale beat the Aussies, we would have heard the end of it if he hadn't. As Jeremy Noseda said "they're not as good as they like to think". When you guys decide to pay for our horses to travel to Oz to race, we will send more over and kick you at your own game........ but while you continue to be tight you will have you play with your own :D
