WHOA guys, don't let this turn ugly and personal.
Tim, I agree with what you say about Teammate only to small extent. She could very well have been extremely upset when that incident occurred and we really don't know why she ran poorly, but I do know that the amount of cash the public put on her didn't make her run faster or slower.
Lets just cash some tickets this weekend guys.

And Tim friend to friend it doesnt help that you call every horse a rat who loses as the fave or start money burning rat thread. Sometimes people here have keyed those horses in pik-3's and they really don't need to here that after a race. Like Scuds ays, in pik-3's or pik-4's you are looking for singles sometimes. Noone I know would ever bet a horse to win at 3-5 but many may single it. The last thing they wanna hear after that is a nickname like Wanna Rat. It doesnt really sound that cute to guys who just lost a pik-3 play.
Now I know you dont mean anything by it, but I have known you 18 years, not everyone else here has.

Would anyone be so kind to tell me, because I can't pull it up at work, if the p4 starts with the 6 or 7th race tomorrow at Bel. It would save me some time and I am under a great deal of pressure, nobody knows(kentness)...

SCUDSBROTHER 06-30-2006 09:06 AM

Yea,sorry I brought it up.Gander, have a good Holiday, and enjoy your Red Hot Sox.

QUESTION: What do you guys think of Pine Island's chances? Only two races. Last race was at the distance and time was slow but it was on the slop. Do any of you think she has a shot?

That's what I said 4 out of 5 wins at Churchill, she's thrown some bad clunkers elsewhere, I'll let her beat me, but she gets the automatic cut...

If she wins, I'll be the first to congratulate and admit I was wrong, but this is about her sixth or seventh race in a row, I think she's going to be over the top...Playing the late pik 4 tomorrow, maybe single Clemente's horse in the 7th...Good Luck, if she wins and you guys cash, I'll have no problem..

Ruffian2 06-30-2006 06:17 PM

I have to say, I was really impressed with the way Bushfire finished in her last. She was really game. I've got to cheer for her here, too.

me too but i think she used alot there..

Ruffian2 06-30-2006 06:29 PM

That's my only concern. It's only been 3 weeks, after all!

SCUDSBROTHER 07-01-2006 04:30 PM

Teammate has a question:

"Gulfstream opens when?"

Buffymommy 07-01-2006 04:33 PM

I only saw the race quickly but Pine Island looked like she was still very game in the end. I liked this filly before but I think I like her more now.

I didn't see this thread before the race so couldn't back you up then, but I took Pine Island in the Public Handicapper contest for this race. This filly was bred especially to run at Belmont by the Phipps family. If you saw her, she is one of those tall sorts that stand over a lot of ground and has a big, long stride. And she is out of a full sister to Pleasant Home, et. al. She WILL win the CCA Oaks.
