But, we are at that point of the season where crazier things have happened, so really anyone could go tonight -- but I think we all know who should go.

Well, not everybody...the person with the ID from a Zappa song thinks Melinda stinks!

Guess it's just a matter of preference. I sang in choir for 4 years, she's got a very nice choir voice, but I can't see anyone rushing to the store to buy a record from her....

Are you talking about me? First of all, I have no clue who "zappa" is, second of all I dont' think she STINKS I think that she is overrated. Can you honestly say that you plan on buying a record from her when she comes out? Do you close your eyes and smile when she is singing? I'm sure the ansewr to both is no, she doesn't have the kind of voice that really inspires either.

Jordin sounded awesome, nuff said about her.

And Blake was entertaining as always. I loved his Maroon 5 song.

I don't think Melinda will go tonight, but I'm hoping!

How can you make that last post? Here is the post I responded to...you clearly state "she stunk"!!!
Yes, I can close my eyes and enjoy her singing but I prefer to watch her perform. Yes, I would buy a CD of her's. How can you say you are sure the answer is no...you don't know me?? Famous Zappa lyrics..."Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow"!

I said that she stunk last night, not that she stunk period.

Don't assume that you know me either, everyone knows what yellow snow is, and I have never heard those lyrics. Still have no clue who Zappa is.

You used the words "she stunk"...my response to Brian concerning who is going home TONIGHT indicated that you think "she stunk"...the context obviously is in regards to last night's performance and the vote outcome tonight! I don't assume I know anything about you, it was you who said it was obvious what I would not do! I said, "the person with an ID from a Zappa song", I didn't say you chose that ID because you know the song or Zappa's music, I was merely referencing within MY sphere of knowledge...I obviously have no idea why you chose that ID.

YellowSnowMonster 05-16-2007 02:39 PM

I chose this handle because it popped in my head one day long ago and made me laugh. Still wondering who Zappa is...

As for last nights performances, I did think that Melinda stunk. Well, maybe stunk isn't quite the right word... She just didnt' shine. She didn't stand out. But she is overrated enough that I'm sure she'll stick around.

Frank Zappa was the front for Mothers of Invention and later had a successful career on his own. He was a fantastic guitar player and wrote classical music but is best known for his slightly "different" songs...amazing talent and funny as hell!

One truly unique fellow.

Sounds vaguely familiar... But it doesn't sound like my kinda of music... Sounds sort of like a Pink Floyd or something?

The one thing i admired about Blake this week over Jordin and Melinda is that for his final song he took a chance.Jordin and Melinda both were singing songs that they had already sung. All 3 of them are wonderful and it's too bad that somebody has to lose. With that said i think Chris and Catherine McPhee have gotten more noteriety than Taylor Hicks.Sometimes finishing first doesen't make for the greatest future.Just look at Alydar he was a much better sire than Affirmed.

Horrible. Melinda has been so much the best it's not even funny and America is, of course, too dumb, as usual!!!
