You like Zanjero too? He's as about as game as any of the contenders... that's for sure.

He seems to try hard... not saying he's the best thing since sliced bread, but at least he's got some guts. You know?

GPK 04-24-2007 07:27 PM

Honestly....I will be curious to see if any horse runs all 3 legs this year.

The Teuf will run in all three if he gets in the Derby. Besides that... I doubt it!

I don't know, if Curlin or CQ does win the derby, this scenario sounds pretty on the mark to me. I buy it, at least in Curlin's case. I'm less sure CQ will be near the winner's circle, famous last words no doubt...

ShadowRoll 04-25-2007 04:08 PM

Agree that it's unlikely. But if Curlin turns out to be a super freak...there'll be a bunch of posts saying it was obvious in hindsight.

In one of the greatest series of upsets in history....1-1-1 will win the triple crown overcoming the dreaded Ky Derby rail paranoia. I'm basing this on the number 1 hot streak at the BC last year. I think number 1 will take number 3 this year. (if Sedgefield gets post 1, I may be in trouble here!)

Is this the Rail Bias THEORY ?

byalip 04-25-2007 05:33 PM

Madame Coobala's crystal ball has focused on Curlin since before the Rebel. His image has become bigger and stronger. This horse romped, won for fun, led, rated...basically anything he was asked to do and then some.

Plus, Madame Coobala deems the competition a bunch of donkeys. That always helps.

i did my part to help the sport by laying $200 to win $50 that there will not be a triple crown winner.

ss fans can thank me later.

I've thought about this pretty hard and, after much deliberation, I've come to the conclusion that Curlin will not win the Triple Crown.
