I am 22 and in school, I spend most of my time partying right now. Once school ends I am betting at the track 6 days a week. College life is amazing and I don't want to be alone in my bedroom worrying about the next days races. With this being said I am leaving in 2 hours for Prairie Meadows.

So anyhoooo...I heard ateamstupid actually was taken to the track at 3 days old.

Yup.

He was sucking down some formula...his Father placed his bet...and then said " OK ...Stupid....what horsey do you want??

To which ateam replied...." BARF!"...Dad said..."Oh,....sorry ...he had too much mooky."

The teller said..."Oh...I thought he was opining on your selection."

"Mooky" or "mookys" is first time at the track talk for "milk".

Saratoga 1987

My first trip to the track was in the summer of 1987. I'd just graduated from high school. My father was trying to get me to go, so he told me I'd probably get served(booze) at the track. We went and we had a blast. I was hooked!!

Mortimer 04-24-2007 10:25 AM

These are so wonderfully inspiring.

I'm going to cry.

My first love took me to the track at 16.... he was in college. Then again with my first husband... my kids since before they could walk but non of them are real race fans... weird how it either sticks or it doesn't.... my girls have both helped out at the track or farm... Chris on the tecnical end... my other son great at picking them but doesn't play anymore...

When I took the kids I would let them pick and wager for them... the girls picked by colors and how pretty the horse was. My son liked to pick by who had the nicest ass... lol some things never change! lol:D

I started going to Aqueduct & Belmont when I was 15 years old and have been playing the game ever since.
