anytime you can make a profit in this business, it is a good thing.

good luck with her. I'll be rooting for her. If she gets claimed you make money and go on to the next one.

Any idea when the first scheduled workout is for sumwonlovesyou? I know on the radio show Chuck mentioned something about this week hopefully. Just wondering when and what he is looking for out of this work.

Tomorrow am. Going 1/2 mile. Looking for her to break off steady and finish up the final 3/16th. I dont expect her time to be really fast as I would like to get her to settle the first part of the work and too slow is better than too fast.

Chuck, what in the hell are you doing up so late? Are you an insomniac?

Sumwon needs an alert trainer. Get some rest man. :D

Did she go before the break??
Did she finish up good?

phystech 03-07-2007 08:50 AM

Chuck - do you really think Sam Abbey is going to write a race for you? I don't recall him being overly ambitious to do that when he was at Delpark.

BTW - I've got a good Abbey story for you and Steve if you are interested - PM only though....:)

FWIW, here's a link to posted workout times

http://www.equibase.com/premium/eqbW...sFullIndex.cfm

Click on "Fair Grounds" and the date.

In my opinion, 30-40K Claimer at 1M+ on grass should create pretty low claiming risk. Those prices would be a hefty premium above price she was racing at as well as sale price. Until she proves ability on grass and dist, I don't see too much risk there. Unless all our optimism gets somoene else excited...

Anyone see many 1st turfers get claimed?

Pat

I love readng this stuff. The time is slow but my uncle Charlie always used to say, "Time doesn't matter unless you're doing it."

is Rafael Bejarano still riding. I can't recall seeing him for a while?
