Only two touchdowns through 4 innings allowed. On the bright side there is no other possible way to go this year but up. I still am mildly hopeful for them despite today.

horseofcourse 04-01-2011 04:22 PM

INdians come back with a touchdown. Still trail by a touchdown.

horseofcourse 04-01-2011 04:39 PM

Tribe pitchers have struk out 11 White Sox through 8. Tribe has yet to strike out. They should be closer than an 8 run deficit, I simply can't figure out Cleveland sports. Oh wait....

horseofcourse 04-01-2011 04:56 PM

ONly the INdians capable of playing a Canadian football league game. White Sox pick up a rouge and the INdians counter with a safety. 15-9 late in the 4th quarter. Indian batter finally strikes out. This is high caliber stuff. Damon Allen or condredge Holloway needs to show up for the Tribe.

horseofcourse 04-01-2011 05:20 PM

Cleveland sports man. Indians get 17 hits, score in double figures and strike out 14 White Sox and they lose by 5 runs. Believe baby!! All I know is some punk Red Sock minor leaguer better not tear up Santana's knee this year.

clyde 04-01-2011 06:36 PM

Oh well, there's always next year.

clyde 04-01-2011 07:10 PM

At the half, the Cavaliers are whizzing on the Wizards.

A ray of sunshine.

horseofcourse 04-01-2011 07:21 PM

The Tigers are starting Jhonny at shortstop and are supposed to be better than the INdians...I don't understand that.

clyde 04-01-2011 07:23 PM

spit!!

Good one!

Short on time,HC.....must run,but go Cavs.

yay

The Cavs pulled it out thankfully. Washington and Minnesota getting dangerously close to catching them for most ping pong balls. To give that up after working so hard all year to get it would be disappointing. Losing that winnable game to a close pursuer was a job well done.

horseofcourse 04-02-2011 12:39 PM

Starting pitching locked in so far this year. Not walking people which was the number one goal this year, so have to say it's been a success.

I'm very proud of them.

But Exhausto is throwing too many strikes.....this has to stop.

Off the subject, I get the impression Pud'sMother is very gay.

Which is OK ,to each their own and all that.

But he's stupid.

horseofcourse 04-02-2011 04:20 PM

It's a bad start to the season. I thought these two pitchers would be pretty good...it's still very, very early though. Maybe Masterson and Tomlin will surprise me. I had less hope for those two.

clyde 04-02-2011 04:22 PM

I really think Bat Masterson was misnamed last year.He came on and I do think he will do very well this year.

Gosh..did they already play today?

clyde 04-02-2011 04:24 PM

They did!

I can't believe they lost already.

He was a good glove guy.

horseofcourse 04-07-2011 02:34 PM

nothing is more fun than exhausto matching zeros with their superstar. perhaps the most fun series' in at least 4 years putting the Red Sox in hell.

horseofcourse 04-07-2011 02:39 PM

Manny Acta is on his way to legendary status.

clyde 04-07-2011 03:40 PM

Boy...does Boston suck, or what?

Where is Dahla when you don't need her?

Just heard where he won it on a squeeze play. He's at least an improvement over ''Wedgie."

An alley pin setter would have been an improvement over Wedgie.

Your choice of Cleveland as world series winners this year is looking so much bettah.

horseofcourse 04-07-2011 05:17 PM

The bottom of the 8th was baseball not seen since the days of Tris Speaker. I read the yahoo recap on the internets and we had 7 different people associated with the losing team quoted and not even one single lonely quote by the manager of the Indians. I found that odd. The team that broomed the REd Sox was not worth of one single quote in the game recap. I was dying to hear the brilliant Acta explain his brilliance of taking advantage of the complete wildness of Bard to go with a straight steal by Adam Everett on the 3rd pitch of Orlando Cabrera's at bat. That decision and moment of strategery was the one that won the game and we had to read about quotes from 6 or 7 members of the team that got swept. Of course journalism has been dead for 30 or 40 years, but you always hope.

clyde 04-07-2011 05:27 PM

This is fine material.

Obviously the writers are trying bolster Dahla's prediction by making it sound like Boston won the game.

Her connections are legend;their number,legion.

That was pretty good.

clyde 04-07-2011 05:28 PM

She thimply adores the Marshmellow trade, too.

This series was about the Cleveland Indians. I don't give a rat's ass about the Red Sox. This was about Cleveland being better in every single faze of the game for 3 straight days and the most perfect execution I have seen by a major league baseball team in a long, long time today. The bottom the 8th was the most beautiful baseball witnessed in many years. It needs to be put on clinic tapes. Terry Francona should be put in witness protection after what Manny Acta did to him today. A straight steal by Adam Everett!! Are you kidding me!! I was able to view a live stream of the game. I was a witness to an execution of Terry Francona by Manny Acta.

!!

Highly amusing!

And I don't even know who this Everett guy is!

horseofcourse 04-07-2011 08:40 PM

This is likely the high point of the entire season. I gotta milk this cow completely! When they're 50-77, I can always look back to the glory days of early April!

clyde 04-07-2011 08:52 PM

The depressing thing is you're probably very right.

I only want to see Boston out of the playoffs so I can use Dahla's prediction as a tag line.

In all seriousness, when they have a good bullpen they contend. This has the makings of a very good bullpen this year. The bullpen was very, very good after the all star break last year when the two lefties got it turned around and C Perez went to closer. he was as good as anyone 2nd half last year. Early returns are the two lefties still have it figured out and if Pastrami can be the right handed set up man...you never know. The rotation is questionable at best, but a lights out bullpen can cover up a lot. Seriously, paul byrd won 15 games in '07 but how good was he really??

clyde 04-08-2011 01:20 PM

You're right on the savers...the starters, still not much is known about Tomlin and Chico.Obviously I forgot his name.I do like the other 3.

On offense---left,2nd,3rd ,dh and first are really not sa hot.

But I do think they should wind up at about 80 to 85 wins which would be a big improvement from last year.

clyde 04-08-2011 01:49 PM

SportyFans.....you won't get this kind of insider coverage on EVPN.

horseofcourse 04-11-2011 11:51 AM

Wedgie has a nice grouping in Seattle. Could perhaps be the worst major league baseball team ever assembled. They all count I guess. Still in first on April 11th!!

clyde 04-12-2011 05:06 AM

Bradley won't blunder another opportunity.. he will kill him this time.

horseofcourse 04-12-2011 10:17 AM

Talbots did it all last night. His only job was to give the Holy Trinity pitching law firm of Perez-Sipp-Perez a day of rest. Well done young man.

clyde 04-12-2011 05:21 PM

Good job!

The Indians need a 1st baseman named Cabrera;Cabrera to Cabrera to Cabrera.

Exhausto going tonight.

I say 100 pitches by the 6th inning.

clyde 04-12-2011 05:30 PM

Do have to admit our literary player,D.H.Hafner, is off to a fine start.

clyde 04-12-2011 05:35 PM

Of course you know , while in the minors,he wrote The Boys in the Bush.

clyde 04-12-2011 10:43 PM

Exhausto is doing very well....unfortunately the other guy is doing a little better.

Down 1-0 at the 5 2/3 mark.

Let's keep watching.

Should be fun.

clyde 04-12-2011 11:23 PM

It wasn't.

horseofcourse 04-13-2011 09:15 AM

Exhausto looking really good last two starts. Actually 9 straight really good starts for what was the big question mark. 8-3 with chew-chew and santana not hitting worth crap. I think that may bode well. I hope. You would think at some point they'll both start hitting at the same time.

I think the difference between .500 ball and the surprise of the world will be Grady. He needs to come back somewhat close to what he was. Their current left fielders are just bad.

clyde 04-13-2011 01:22 PM

Bad?

Bad?

The Red Sox are bad.The Indians left fielders are write in's...that's it.Available names to pencil into the line up.

To create more excitement, they should take home games and have a fan drawing. The winner gets to play left field for that game.
