Sissy Sabbathia now has an 0-3 record and a 13.50 era after 4 starts.Don't worry,Sissy. MainCourse said you will still have a good year.

If you can come up with about 22 shutouts.

God you stink!!!

The Bid 04-17-2008 08:48 AM

You arent kidding! Hes a real shutdown ace. Indians are now a robust 3-7 at home. Cant wait until they go on the road.

Wedge blows another one for Westbrook bringing in his pen, if thats what you want to call it. At least they got Delucci in and have pulled Michaels. I was shocked a few nights ago when he pinch hit Michaels for Delucci. Pinch hit a guy thats 1 for the season for a guy like Delucci. I wonder how long Wedge and Michaels have dated.

Oh there has to be some kissy-poos going on there. Don't let Delucci cause delusions......this is about as hot as he will be....

The Bid 04-17-2008 11:18 AM

This may be as hot as Delucci gets, but hes still much better than Michaels.

A bad Delucci is better than a streaking Michaels

Im glad CC didnt sign that ridiculous contract, maybe one of these AA teams will sign him to a tryout contract after the year is over

Mortimer 04-17-2008 11:55 AM

He is better..I agree.

Not that it says a whole lot.

Have you seen how many balls HJ doesn't get to that Cabrera would these last few games?

horseofcourse 04-17-2008 01:51 PM

I'm sorry. I was wrong again. What can I say. At least I serve a purpose on here I guess!!

I am on a wrongness binge these last few months. Have at me Avery!! You would think just on the old blind squirrel finding an acorn now and then I could at least be correct on one of those type occasions. There are zero defenses for me at present. What can I say to that as well?? 2007 seems like it was about 5,000 years ago in Cleveland.

Honestly, I did know Sabathia wouldn't be as good as last year...but I had no clue it would be like this. I honestly didn't think he could get worse after last start...but he actually did. You couldn't get a low level class A prospect for him right now.

horseofcourse 04-17-2008 02:11 PM

And just to prove I am not a genetic mutant Avery...I had this same argument with my cousin who insisted all thgough spring training the Tribe HAD to deal Sabathia as he stated post season proved his mental capability and his max trade value was right now. I insisted a team that was one game form the World Series couldn't trade one of the top 4 starters in the league last year at this point, and if necessary just wait til the trade deadline and deal him if the team was struggling.

Add it up and he, you and Bid were all correct without question. I was the only wrong one. His trade value at this point will be not much more than Dellucci's come July.

(so there is some sanity in my bloodlines Avery!! although he is not anti-LeBron as of yet...he was always anti-CC.)

Am I wrong about the Browns qb situation as well?? I think Quinn should be the starter. Anderson looked lost the last 7 game last year. I think they should attempt to trade ANderson pre-draft day for some 2nd and 3rd round picks of some sort. I think his value is maxed out right now as CC was this off season. WHat say you on the QB situation?? My initial thoughts last year were I didn't like the Quinn pick...so by my track record I have to assume that I was wrong. I may need to go to the Seinfeld episode where Constanza did everything completely opposite of his initial thought of what to do!!

Oh it's all hindsight and I'm lucky it works in my favor...you could have been just as easily right....but I always felt CC had a head problem and he finally beat it last year. Then the playoffs hit and I thought every new surrounding now will cause him trouble until he went through it 4 or 5 times. I still think they erred big time on Hafner, too. I think he's had it.

As far as what I'm really like goes....here's an example.

You know I have been unmerciful on Suffy-poo and GenuineCrazyLady....right?

So the other night ,in trying to be pleasant, I sent out about 25 or so"hi" messages to posters here...not ones I talked with a lot. The only thing in the pm was a :) .

The guys got the wrong idea.

Most of the women said nothing...........in fact...almost all of them said nothing.

So I sent Suffy-poo another :) with a title saying...Hi Cutey!

ror!!!...she still don't get it.

I didn't like the pick on Quinn. I always thought DA was the guy as Frye seemed horrible to me...but I agree...DA disappointed the 2nd half, but he has talent and hopefully he learns and gets better. They say they have 2 fine qb's

Exsqueeze me? One has had a total of about 8-10 plays in live ,real game action.

Lacking draft choices this year, a team MIGHT overwhelm the Browns on DA. Then ,to me, they would be rolling dice on Quinn being a good NFL starter.

I think what happens is if DA picks up from where he left off and goes downhill then Quinn gets his chance. The price tag on DA isn't too bad for an NFL second string guy.

But,,,,I really don't know.

IrishofNDMan 04-17-2008 05:33 PM

Chalk up another loss for the Indians tonight!

There's always hope with Carmona.

But they're getting close to the Noodles fb teams total loses for last year....still need a few more loses to catch them, though.

I just winked at ( under title of "YOO-HOO! " ) ChestnutGal.
