Tribe update...
Which is why, when you look at the top end of the Tribe's roster, all you can really see is a bunch of future ex-Indians. Shin-Soo Choo is already starting to rattle his saber, with a couple of opaque, off-the-cuff remarks made to ex-Indian Jhonny Peralta and the South Korean media about wanting to play for a winner. He's a free agent after the 2013 season, and unless the Indians start contending, his departure will occur via trade before that. Big market teams are circling overhead like buzzards, looking for meat to pluck off the Tribe's carcass. Rumors have dropped this winter that the Yankees are interested in Fausto Carmona, the most proven starter in the Tribe's rotation. He's signed for a while, so the Indians aren't obligated to trade him. But if he starts raising a stink like Zack Greinke did shortly before getting dealt from Kansas City to Milwaukee earlier this month, he could make for quite a distraction. (I can never resist a here's Jhonny reference! good to see his name) |
Afraid we'll always be in that constant ,nowhere cycle.

He took his talents south.
|
|
That was funny.

If they want to be taken seriously, they should probably stop jumping up and down trying to get noticed.

I can't really blame them...Gee is quite the nincompoop. |
You may not be aware, but the OSU Prez. said, a few weeks ago...essentially that the lessser conferences play a much weaker schedules than the majors and therefor should not have one of their undefeateds in one of the major conferences little cloistered bcs games.Meaning money was the issue.
I think he did refer to them as LSOTP. So I can't blame them at all after they dusted Wisconsin. |
Although I think your point is they should let their actions speak for themselves,so I in that way I would agree with you.
|
Who do you think takes the nc?
And who would you rather see win it? |

But it doesn't matter much to me who wins...although if Oregon is the team with the awful uniform, then I will pull for Auburn. |
Who is your team, anyway?
|
HC..let's hear something.
I'd have to say...after a lot of thought,I don't think they should have fired Mangini. One more year. Not sure why the last 4 games went south, but I do think he seemed to be laying a foundation and next year would be the deciding year. So here we go again...another coach, new assts., new system, more new coach's type players.....2 more years to give him time to get fired.....and GroundhogDay continues. |
Have fun with Marty Morningweg. Just make sure he doesnt defer the overtime kickoff!

he used to be the HC of Detriot and once chose to kick the ball off in overtime. |

But oh well.
At least the Cavaliers still hold the NBA record for outscoring the opposition in one game...so that's something. |
Well that calmed things down.
Golly. |
well clyde, the Browns continue to re-arrange deck chairs on the Titanic! This is the one!! This is the one!!!
It's Pat. I like coaches named Butch or Romeo better than a name like Pat though. Pat is a boring name. that's my analysis. (The Bengals have finally come to the realization they are the Titanic and to keep re-arranging the deck chairs is useless and they kept their average coach!! I called that one correctly.) I've come to the conclusion I need to spend more time with my family than arguing about Marvin freaking Lewis with ateam guy!! I will be making limited appearances on cleveland sporty thread. And my last post of Christian Okoye making a tecmo super bowl run stands alone as the best post ever! The Cavs have already clinched most ping pong balls I think...good for them! Maybe they should hire a "Pat" too. The sad thing is Mike Brown would have been a much better coach for these no names than Byron. Another case of changing Titanic deck chairs for no reason I think. The Tribe is it, I am hoping the other two sports go on strike for a long, long time as I don't care any more. I recently sold my 3 pairs of silver pants given to me by a bowling alley in northern Ohio for beating pinball wizard in Ms Pac Man to the local meth dealer here for discounts and a 1975 poster of Farrah Fawcett. I'm currently on probation! |

Hey..how goes it? Didn't want to ignore you ,HC. I have popped in and out the last several days with my welcome light off, but now it's on.That way ..when I say I won't even be checking in then certain Filth of a Feather can't claim otherwise. They'll probably have a 24 hour guard trying to catch me here. So I am done, but did read your stuff and it's fine work. You were right about the CB coach. Anyways....if you want to yak about the local scene...feel free to e-mail me at htrs2647@windstream.net.I may not answer in a timely manner, but I will answer. If not, that's OK too.No big deal. Good luck...give 'em steel and keep t real. |
Refs continue to just give the Cavs everything. Blake Griffin irate at developments in the land of Cleve tonight. He's horrified at all the gifts continuing to propagate down on them and their fans. Will it ever stop? Next thing you know, someone will say Orlando Cabrera will sign onto one of the city's juggernauts or something.

I like the 2 wins against the Marshmellow led KnickKnacks...bettah.
|
Great trades by Cavaliers. They got an extra lottery pick for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon...incredible.
|
It wasn't bad at all and am sure more are coming before the next season starts.
New York certainly is the model for how not to trade and sign. |
Oh,HC......don't go in that cricket thread.
It's sssso gay. |
A new Cleveland sports season starts Friday. Very exciting development. The Cavaliers own wins over the Celtics, Lakers, are 3-0 against the Knicks and now have beaten Los Heat. And still maximizing ping pong balls in the process. Life is very good in Cleveland right now. The poor los Heat will struggle in April and May as when you get beaten down inside by some guy named Ryan Hollins and brick hands Hickson, you have serious issues.
