Yup. Minnesota is another OK team. Portland matches up well though. Aldridge and Love is a toss up, though I would prefer Love. Minnesota is 7-4 at home, but only 3-7 in the last 10 games. Could go either way.
Big matchup between Miami and Indiana tomorrow could mean nothing, Lebron might be out.

I'd take Alridge eight days a week. Love plays zero defense, even less than Harden. He certainly has his pluses, but Aldridge is the better overall player IMO.

Ok. With the Durant George Im basing it on George being 2 years younger and taking huge steps forward. I still dont think its as lopsided as you do, but I guess I can concede that Durant is more polished right now.
As for Love and Aldridge, I think Love is better and its pretty clear. The numbers don’t lie….
Love is 25 and 14 w/ a plus 27 player efficiency rating. Aldridge is 23 and 11 w/ a sub 24 player efficiency rating. Aldridge is also 28, Love is 25….
Love also is 5 rebounds a game better then Aldridge for career stats…. Not even close there.
Aldridge is an admirable player, and is probably a top 10 player right now due to guys like Carmelo, Rondo and Rose dropping off from that top 10 level. So this is no knock on Aldridge I just prefer Love and I think the stats back that up.
Not to mention that Aldridge has a lot better parts around him. He is part of a 1 and 1a type thing with the PG. Love is it for Minnesota.

Carmelo is averaging 26 points and 9 rebounds a game. How has he dropped?

And stop with this 1 and 1A, First take BS please? Lets leave inane theories and meritless innuendo to threads about lasix

And yes George has really improved to the point where he is a top 10 player but Durant is a Hall of fame, all time great level player. George has been really good for 1/3rd of a season.

4. Harden
5. Love
6. Curry
7. Aldridge
8. Cousins
9. Westbrook
10. Howard

The NBA is so deep right now. You could slide Chris Paul anywhere from 5-10 and I would not really argue it.

Every GM in the league would take Westbrook over Cousins, and most would take Westbrook over Harden too. You have Harden too high for sure.

I hear you on Love and the stats. I just have trouble with guys like that can't play a lick of defense. Harden fits there too.

Different style guys that play the same position and both are great. Love probably gets the slight advantage because he is a prolific 3 pt shooter and is easily the best stretch 4 in the game. His defensive rebound to outlet passes are about as good as anyone I can remember. However Aldrich can play both 4 and 5 equally as well and is a better defender. Pretty close to a toss up

CJ I love Westbrook. He is a top 5 guy. But Im saying right now. And right now he is still getting back in the flow of things and shoting around 40%.....
I love Westbrook as much as Big Game James. Plus Westbrook has proved me way wrong because I thought he was a bum coming out of UCLA. I love the athletic combo guards.
If I had to name my personal top 5.

Lebron
George
Harden
Westbrook
Love

You haven't watched Westbrook lately...he has a near triple double every night the last two weeks. He'll ever be a great shooter, but he does everything else.

Serious question....
If the finals is Miami vs OKC what will be different from a few years ago?
I mean even Beasley is producing now and rumor is Oden is healthy, but Riley insists on saving him for the playoff run. Clearly thats smart.

I'll believe Oden when I see it.

I don't know if the Thunder can beat Miami, but they are clearly a better team now than two years ago. Remember, Harden pulled a vanishing act.

The defense is great, the bench is better, and the Big 3 are all clearly better players than they were two years ago. The Heat were also insanely hot from 3 that series. Battier, Miller and Chalmers were making everything. Other than the last game, they were all close.

Also, Dwayne Wade just isn't the same guy he was then. Some nights he is, but we'll see come playoff time what he can deliver. Like I said, I don't know if the Thunder would win, but I think they would give Miami all they wanted. The Thunder are better than the Spurs and were last year too, the Spurs were just some bad coaching decisions from beating the Heat.

5 on 5 boys loving Houston....
I like the 5 on 5. Fun reads. Opinions?

D. Wade confuses me. There was talk last year about him going overseas and having the same procedure Kobe had. It just seems like instead of focusing on ball he is modeling and doing everything else. All that said he is still probably the 3rd best 2 guard of all time and a true warrior. But imagine if he was healthy the last few years, and the next few years?

3rd best two guard? I'd have to think about that, but it seems like a stretch to me.

I can imagine a lot of things, but he wasn't healthy, isn't healthy, and most likely won't be healthy going forward.

COme on...

MJ, Kobe and him.
I mean if he rides Lebron to 1 or 2 more you can argue he is better then Kobe. In his prime I believe he was at least as good as Kobe.
D. Wades career stats are awfully impressive. He is 25-6-5. And he pretty much won an NBA championship by himself.
