blech

horseofcourse 12-03-2010 09:46 AM

We've all seen LeBron do this before. He has games where he hits everything and when he does that he is the best player in the world. Facts remain that this game was more important to him than any playoff game he'll play for Miami this year. I'm not sure who this Colin Cowherd guy is and I think he has a TV show now even, but he was saying how impressed he was with LeBron as a person and Miami now has definitely found themselves which is what last night showed. So he really thinks beating Washington and Detroit at home and then Cleveland is proof of how great they are?? ESPN is funny. Cleveland is 7-11 and they come by that honestly. They really stink bad. There's a ton of hideous teams in the east and Miami could win 55-65 in their sleep as Cleveland did with LeBron. They have as much chance of beating Orlando and Boston in the playoffs as the cleveland LeBrons did. Less than zero. It's all good, LeBron can point back to this game as proof for himself as he watches the NBA finals this year.

clyde 12-03-2010 12:11 PM

I guess we'll see;I do know what you mean

He's really like some message board freak outs.

Easily cage rattled, lacking in character.....and flaming out on the big stage.

Pity...really.

horseofcourse 12-03-2010 02:22 PM

The Cavs also need to rid themselves of every single player who ever played with LeBron. The guys are poisoned forever. They need about 3 years of being one of the 3 worst teams in the league and getting lots of ping pong balls. Their only two periods of extended success came after getting the number one pick in the draft....Daugherty and then 15 years later James.

The Cavs are hideous. Although they are routinely mocked in the media, I still maintain the Indians are the closest of the 3 to being good.

clyde 12-03-2010 02:30 PM

HC..the second half of the season could be interesting with that exception thing they have and with Scott geting them directed.I think he's really good at coaching promising doorknobs.

The Indians ,I can't really disagree.Next year will be very interesting. The thing is---the Browns just might be even more interesting. It will be close between these two.

So ,again---we'll see.

horseofcourse 12-04-2010 09:07 PM

Well, the Cavs trail the Timberwolves by 36 halfway through the 4th quarter. When's the last time someone trailed the T-Wolves by 36 with over 6 minutes left in the game?? Wolves hit 16 of their first 19 3 point attempts. Darko Milicic was at one point a +41 on the stat line.

It's getting good!

clyde 12-04-2010 09:27 PM

Oh my God.

I don't think you're kidding.

Scott said 40 games to see what he has......change for the sake of change may be in order.

Rudeboyelvis 12-04-2010 10:30 PM

Agree.

Kill Yourself.

For a change.

;):rolleyes::p

clyde 12-04-2010 11:48 PM

hmmm...never thought of that.........no..I did....but Deb-O-Deb talked me off my porch....

horseofcourse 12-05-2010 02:20 PM

hey clyde, the Browns are playing another NFL football game this week. It seems just like the first 11, yet another chance to blow a 4th quarter lead!!

MISTERGEE 12-05-2010 03:13 PM

they couldnt do that because they were playing the Doplhins who are 1-5 at home

Was thinking that exact same thing.

And Delhommie mah Homie tried another pick 6 near the end...for such a veteran qb---he sure is stupid!!

Saw that last quarter under the influense of one MerHigh...to much snow today to get MuchHigher

Heard the end on the radio.

Much bettah!!.

Incredibly, going back to last year they Browns have had leads in 17 consecutive games. They have had 4th quarter leads in 13 of their last 16 games. It would be depressing to lose a game where Delhomme not only doesn't throw a pick 6 but doesn't throw a pick at all. When Jake starts, you automatically assume you are down 7-0 starting the game.

God...really?

That's friggin' amazing.

Have to hand it to Eric The Ferrit....he has them playing much, much tougher physically and mentally. If the don't lose any of their good players next year and are able to add a competent, fast wide out and a pass rusher on defense----and lose DelHommie mah Homie,it could be very pretty.

D-back's heads hear SweetJane in DelHommies name:

"Jake.. a pass please throw me ,so I can head for homie."

horseofcourse 12-05-2010 11:47 PM

Everything I've read on the subject is we are back in 1985 and Jake Delhomme is playing the role of Gary Danielson and Colt is playing the role of Bernie. Bernie followed Danielson around like a puppy dog his rookie year and Colt has done the same with Delhomme. Browns went 5-11 in '84 with McDonald, then went 8-8 signing Danielson and drafting Bernie...then 12-4 Bernie's 2nd year. They went 5-11 last year with Brady Derek Quinn Anderson...signed Delhomme and drafted Colt...could be headed to 7-9 maybe?? Colt's team next year.

clyde 12-06-2010 01:20 AM

He can't replace JD soon enough for me.

Hey Golpher---scouting report on Arkansas,please.

I'd be real diappointed with 7-9 at this point.

Really,I think they can do 9-7.

I really do.

thud

clyde 12-07-2010 07:14 PM

Horsey...let's bury ourselves in the Browns for this week as anything else is just noise to my ears anymore.

Isn't it on to Buffalo?

What do you think?

If they can pull it off ( and playing like they are, they can---as long as DelHommie keeps his pick 6's to horsey racing) and win the last 4 ...the chances of making the play offs are within the realm---no?

I would just love to see them kick the P.A.T.s as.s one more time this year.

Oh, Drillus has 905 yards over 12 games.

12 games is a really ,really good measuring stick.

Wait until they go to 18 and still try to use 1,000 as the mark of greatness.

clyde 12-07-2010 07:20 PM

And no Cavaliers stuff---unless it's good.

Anything's possible, I guess.

horseofcourse 12-07-2010 09:06 PM

Hillis is up to 962 now through 12. He'll become the first 1,000 yard white guy Sunday since Craig James in 1985. Buffalo will be tough. Take away their game last week, they've played very well despite not winning much. They had Pittsburgh dead to rights until God took it out on Stevie Johnson all game long. McCoy is close to playing from what I've heard. Mangini will very soon have all 3 qb's healthy to choose from...he better choose the right one!! I can't see them winning all 4. Even the Bengals on the road will be tough for them. I'd be happy with 2, 3, or 4 wins. 1-3 is unacceptable. Cavs playing for ping pong balls. That's good.

clyde 12-07-2010 11:17 PM

Thanks for the correction...the fucl<er is good.

Buffalo could prove to be obstinate, aye?

Phooey...they need another easy win like the P.A.T.'s.

At qb I would go with .....I forgot his name!!

The little guy with the speed and strong arm.He would be my first pick and then C.M.

clyde 12-07-2010 11:18 PM

Oh...am still going with winning the last 4, one at a time of course.I really think they can do it.

horseofcourse 12-09-2010 03:26 PM

Rapid Robert passed away today at 92. He had a good fastball...and was much better than Cliff Lee.

clyde 12-09-2010 03:36 PM

Damn..he did huh?

He was good...no question.

He may have had a rather large ego, but like others of his era he went to war in his prime and never complained;quite the opposite.

The eras are so different you can't even begin to compare them...other than to say baseball players, much like people, just ain't what they once were.

clyde 12-10-2010 01:36 AM

HC...you seem to be in the know about a lot.

Dahla...I frighten her.

Why do you think that is?

clyde 12-11-2010 01:49 AM

Even you don't know.

Oh well, I frighten a lot of people.

clyde 12-12-2010 02:34 PM

Jackie didn't throw a pick 6 just now....but it was just as good.

Oh well, there goes another game.

cmorioles 12-12-2010 09:10 PM

After witnessing tonight's game in person, I have to insist the Cavs immediately secede from the NBA. They can be replaced by either the Iowa Energy, the Tulsa 66ers, or Duke.

clyde 12-12-2010 09:16 PM

Hey..it may happen.

Just like horseys with no shot happen....don't ya know.

cmorioles 12-12-2010 09:28 PM

The Cavs tried to sign the guy at halftime that won the 20k for his half court shot. He said he'd stick to Taco Bell.

Just thayin'.

clyde 12-12-2010 10:49 PM

you realize what a huge mistake you make.
