I remember a lot of those being from Azeri's second West Coast campaign, where, after her perfect '02 season, she was handled much like Zenyatta. To be fair, she was between the same rock and hard place, given that the BC was in her own backyard.

Of course, the whole b!itchfest became moot once she got beat in the Lady's Secret.

Yes, that was unfortunate, she got hurt and then beat by a horse she drummed a month earlier, thats racing, you got to take your shots when they are there, cant wait till next year.

Directly opposed to the NY Times poll, the poll done by Bloodhorse has Zenyatta 60/40

Did you read any of the comments made by the people in Zen's camp below the poll. Its absolutely sickening to read the arguments they made for her. Makes me wonder how some people, who really have no clue and are completely ignorant about horse racing, find bloodhorse and post 1st grade level arguements for her. I should be laughing at them but they really made me sick to my stomach.

Just a couple that multiple people posted.
- Shes 14for14 what more does she have to do.
- Shes won G1s on dirt and Poly
- Zen beat MTB by 10 and Rachel only by 1

Don't let that stuff bother you. These are the "pretty horsie" fans of racing. No problem.

-It's questionable how good MTB is on synthetics
-Her G1 dirt win was last year. It doesn't count towards a HOY argument
-14 for 14 again does not count. What matters is what she did THIS year compared to RA

-But if you are going to compare wins on completely different surfaces, RA beat Summer Bird by 6 or 7. Zenyatta, not so much.

Also MTB was at his peak when RA faced him, Zen caught the shell of that horse.
These are just the arguments that people on Bloodhorse are making for Zenyatta, they go on and on with these same nonsense arguments its absolutely nauseating to read.
The best one I read over there was that Zen was NEVER headed :zz:
