Pencarrow Stud bought Banchee today. There were some big offers from overseas too, so I'm happy they got her and will keep her here. :)

She'll carry the same blue and white as a champion girl from a few years ago, Ethereal.

Glad she's staying too. :)

my miss storm cat 05-13-2010 10:43 PM

Seeing that name is like seeing an old friend, even with the silly "King" added on.

You go, good boy. Show them how it's done. :tro:

_ed_ 05-15-2010 07:44 AM

He had an unlucky trip. :( 3 wide all the way, and then he had nothing in the stretch.

Next time!

my miss storm cat 05-15-2010 10:47 PM

It's that damned King they put in front of his name. I'd be weirded out too! :D

Where did he finish?

Who won?

_ed_ 05-16-2010 09:39 PM

Albert The Fat won the race.

He was 6th. The race might have been a bit too short for him as well. His next race should suit better.

Sir Time Keeper?

Oh does Sir Slick really need to run here?

Good luck to Sir Slick and "Sir" Time Keeper tonight.

_ed_ 05-29-2010 12:25 AM

Time Keeper was 4th in his race.

Sir Slick last. :(

_ed_ 05-29-2010 01:07 AM

The wet track stopped Mufhasa again. He tried to lead all the way and held on until inside the last 200m, but he faded after that and finished about 5th or 6th.

my miss storm cat 05-29-2010 01:17 AM

THanks ed. I saw the Mufhasa race... just as well I didn't see Sirs Slick and Time Keeper.

_ed_ 06-01-2010 10:07 PM

The Oaks Stud is comparing this girl to Seachange.

Smoulder is a 2yo filly by Traditionally out of Flying Firebird. She's now had 4 starts for 3 wins (1 stakes) and a third behind G2 winner and G1-placed Jimmy Choux.

She's being aimed at the 1000 Guineas in November. She'll probably come up against Banchee there. 5 months away, but it's already exciting. :)

my miss storm cat 06-20-2010 11:35 PM

What have i missed ed?

_ed_ 06-21-2010 01:54 AM

Not much! It's a bit quiet here at the moment.

Mufhasa and Culminate both did well in the Stradbroke. They were 6th and 7th, but less than 2 lengths from the winner.

my miss storm cat 06-24-2010 05:33 PM

Good luck to the NZ kids!

I hope they run as well as we know they can. :) Mufhasa, Culminate and Wealth Princess would be hard to beat if they did.

my miss storm cat 06-24-2010 11:10 PM

Time Keeper said you're forgiven for leaving him out. :p

_ed_ 06-25-2010 05:46 AM

Haha, I apologise to him. I think he's a very tired horse though. :(

my miss storm cat 06-25-2010 05:33 PM

Yeah really. I think they've run him enough for now, poor guy.

Hey I'll ask here cause i know you saw it...

What happened with Whobegotyou in the Stradbroke?
