I want to thank all of you for posting this most interesting thread and giving me something to read having got up a bit too early.

I think there are some interesting thoughts and ideas, something we all have whether we are ones who post or not, whether we be Christain, Muslum, Jew, or Athesist, or whatever, whether we are white, black, yellow, or whatever, whether we are from the US, Europe, Asia, or whatever, whether we are liberal, conservative, or whatever, whether we are rich, poor, or whatever, whether we feel we have had a good life, bad life, or whatever, whether we are rich, poor, or whatever.

It is that combination of conditions that makes us who we are. What I find interesting is that the exchange in this thread is a microcosm of the same issues and conditions we find in the world. If each of you were a country, and this was not a blog but represented millions of people it appears threats, conflict, distrust, hate, and a few wars could start because of the inability to understand other's views. It is this same condition that exists in the world that is the cornerstone of bloodshead. Call it the human condition, call it a throw back to our caveman beginnings, call it what you want, but it is here and everywhere. It's at NFL football games, little Jimmy's 7 year old T-ball game (ever umpire one of those? - crazy sometimes), it's at any gathering of 4+ women, it simply is part of what is inside us.

Some are more tolurant, some less. The choices are three..wipe out those that disagree with (too many really like that one), argue and exchange words, or seek to understand and live in peace.

Yea, I'm a 60's child. Anyway, all the best to all of you.

Peace out,

Doesn't sound like hate to me! If wanting an HONEST dialogue, with no agenda, is mocking your faith and attacking you, then I'm probably guilty. Have I ever, to anyone here, called you(or anybody) hateful and ignorant, or a liar? Because we disagree, have I called you a hypocrite...nope.
We've talked before about the structure or institution of religion, and I've agreed WITH you that the institutions are the problem...did you forget those disscussions?
In case you've forgotten, discussion was part of the 1st ammendment.....that's still good here, right? My major problem with you guys is that you lump conservatives with Christianity completely. I was a conservative long before I became a Christian, hence my feeling that you're arguement doesn't stand. Seems to me that's a simple answer for you.....other than that, I can't help you.

Talk about drama queens...ok, a number of good folks from this board contacted me, some with prayer, some with support...one kind soul drove from Maryland to bring me dog and horse feed, another drove from Indiana to PA to pick up my dog and keep him for several months...then brought him to me in Ohio, another sent me some cash (which I repaid before someone makes something of it)...so, what's your point?
The fact that I feel institutions are often a problem has nothing to do with my view of Christianity....Westboro Baptist Church, the Catholic Church, Falwell's "kingdom" are institutions, Christianity is a religion! Institutions are made up of human beings and subject to their rules and point of view, religions are sets of beliefs. Let me repeat (for about the 100th time), I respect all monotheistic religions, I consider them all equal in the eye of the Almighty as they all are worshiping the same supreme deity! I have said this to you on numerous occasions so when you say I dislike Christianity...that's a lie because you are well aware of my views.
Your posts are hypocritical cause you belittle my beliefs (and those of others) anytime you disagree with me (them).
Your "chicken or egg" argument has no merit...you hide behind your "good Christian" montra....your faith teaches that your life begins anew the moment you accept the principles of the faith so whether you were a conservative or liberal before is irrelevant...by your own words you are a conservative and a Christian now!
