Of course it takes away from the other sections. People carry grudges onto other sections, and instead of discussing racing, which is what the board is based on, people spend all day talking about Michelle Bachmann or abortion.

I'm sure Byk is real excited about that. He tries to promote racing, not politics.

How many of the people that spend most of their time in this room bet frequently? In my opinion, not many besides Chuck and Dell. That's fine, there isn't some requirement on betting, but again, this is a board on racing.

umm...

I think you know what I'm ultimately getting at Bob. It probably didn't come out the way I wanted it to the first time.

As I said to jms, my apologies as you, like him were not who I was talking about when I said that.

Bachmann quits churchBy Mark Murray
CNN reports that Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has quit her church.

Bachmann, a Minnesota congresswoman, and her husband, Marcus, withdrew their membership from Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Minnesota, last month, according to church officials.

The Bachmanns had been members of the church for more than 10 years, according to Joel Hochmuth, director of communications for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, the broader denominational body of which Bachmann’s former church is a member.

The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod has drawn criticism for being anti-Catholic, CNN adds.

"We identify the Antichrist as the Papacy," the denomination's website says. "This is an historical judgment based on Scripture."

and once again, a church supposedly based on christianity somehow misses christs messages.

amazing tho that it took bachmann ten years to find there's a problem...

McCain-Backing Congresswoman Suggests Obamas Have Anti-American Views
October 18, 2008 12:51 PM

On MSNBC's Hardball, Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., said the "collection of friends that Barack Obama has had over this life" -- specifically Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers -- "calls into question what Barack Obama's true beliefs and values and thoughts are."

ah, michell, thy name is hypocrite. her words are going to jump up and bite her on the ass.

Wow. I knew that this one really only had a chance with her fellow crazies in Iowa, but she's really imploding, isn't she?

i just had a feeling that if i did a search or two, i'd find a comment from her about the rev. wright....voila! funny that she jumped on him then, and is using that occurrence to say 'don't pick on me' now..too funny.

Do people go to a political board and discuss horse racing?

Thank you

Danzig 08-14-2011 07:47 AM

i didn't realize that people were forced to click on the poli thread when coming to the board. interesting, as i only click on it by choice.
