Except that it has nothing to do with Philadelphia (Sire Smarty Jones) or 6' 8" Carmichael's role as the lead receiver for Ron Jaworski's "Fire High Gang" (Dam I Aim High).

I got. Don't like the Eggles...but I got it. And I love it ! Verrrrry clever.
"Jaworski" or "Jaworski Jones" woulda been cool too but I'm sure that's been done, eh?

The next small, tough as nails DT horse should be named "Pat Fischer". Anyone else remember him going up against Harold Carmichael?

Pat Fischer was well known for his strong tackling skills despite his diminutive size. Some of Fischer's most memorable defensive match-ups occurred against Philadelphia Eagles receiver Harold Carmichael who stood eleven inches taller than Fischer. Fischer's mantra "get a leg up and you own him" is used today to motivate and teach smaller defensive backs who to defend taller wide receivers.

He was 5'9, 170....

Wow. 5'9? 11" shorter. Did he play for the Cardinals (St.Louis)?

Bednarik woulda been cool too.

Actually, he did play for the Cardinals. He's probably better known for his days w/the Redskins though...

For those interested, I actually saw Smarty Jones, live in the flesh yesterday, it is absolutely uncanny how much the DT 2 year olds look EXACTLY like him, structure wise, it was scary.

What was also scary was how a shank and stallion handler saved my right shoulder from being absolutely SAVAGED by him as I turned my back on accident.

I also got to see Big Brown and well, there is a picture and story to go along with that, will post Thursday night - Friday morning ish.
