I'm looking at Victory Sign from the rail, although the 90 day layoff is a bit disconcerting.

If Yario draws in from the AE in the 5th it may make that race much easier to narrow down.

Chad Brown has had success with horses trained by Frankel who were expected for bigger and better things. But he's a deep closer and will need a lot of things to go right for him to win.

What about Couth? He does not win much, but he's run a few decent races in the current form cycle. I don't understand why he was entered in the dirt sprint at the Spa. Perhaps it was a workout within a race. Now he is back on turf with a bit darkened form. He's a horse worth including underneath in exactas and triples, and maybe just maybe he might have found a field that he can beat.

why ? he ran like trash at saratoga, i know i bet him that day !!!!!!
actually he did not run a step
he looks like a clunker to me, in hindsight i can see i made a mistake betting him last out...
his only win he got 21 43 to run at, he should have won then and has done nothing since
contessa could move him up, but with the pedigree, and trainer, there will be no price at all

What do you guys think about race 6? Missile Motor put up BSF's that put him amongst the better sprinters in the country. Now he's running for a 16k tag off an eight and a half month layoff. He's the 8-5 m/l favorite. Do you think he'll be heavily bet and isn't this the kind of horse that you have to exclude from your wagers and try to beat? Secret Stocks is a speed pop and quit horse so I they will set things up for chaotic closing charge to win this race.

The other half of Hough's entry Trippi Appeal could benefit from a balls to the wall speed dual. Introspect has past form that could get the job done here. But does he still want to be a racehorse or a stable pony?

I like the #2 in the 6th, should get a good price.

He's never been given the chance to sprint. You might be right. He'll definately go to post at decent odds.

Introspect is the one that caught my eye as well. His last was an "interesting" trip.

The 8th is going to be very tough. The 5 would have at least pushed a pace in a field that no one will want to take the lead with. Looks like IMpressionism (but from the 10 spot) and Diverse. I think Bella Attrice is a good bet against. She is only 1 for 11 at Belmont and that was in a 35k claimer. Plus she has run in mostly state bred company. Thanks for the early sc's Hooves. Maybe I need a couple beers before I handicapp today.

He is a very tough call. Unlike some of these he has been running at this level. He's coming in after 2+ months but runs well off breaks like that. I hate when they don't report all the works as he only shows 1 work since June's race. And to make matters worse, his best races appear to be at a mile and up. I'll kick myself but I gotta exclude him. Missle Motor could run very well as he has had good results off breaks. I like Trippi here as well but Dutrow worries me here. Dazzling Derek comes in on a huge drop after tiring badly last race against state bred allowance company in Toga. His best races have been at Belmont and I assume he will go off at much higher than his 9/2 m/l. Another very tough sequence today. Or I am just plain dumb.:zz:

bella is very good right now/ so is brown..its a tough race but 3 stick out to me the 9/7/2..the 10 could win but if outside and gets into any trouble he may come up short... shugs turf nos at belmont are not that great.

Well it won't be the first time I beat myself up. The 7 is very interesting here. But I crossed him off as his last work seems to reflect that last race took something out of him. Plus there isn't going to be much pace here to shoot at. So, for me, I may go with Impressionism as a single and curse myself into the weekend. It is a sad day though when having Shug is a negative but I know what you are talking about.
