I guess we both get what we deserve for leaving Ness off.

Yup... unreal... This thing will be running stakes races every two weeks soon

Wednesday 2.15.11 Race 2

The Russians.

Can't find anything at all out about this outfit, but they show up with a handful of horses, some with racing experience in RUS, others are firsters. We've been joking all meeting that they are going to pop at one point, just a matter of time.

Tomorrow may be that time in race 2. 5.5F 12.5k maiden affair, which looks like all you need is a high 40 bsf effort to get through... Golckenburg LLC, with their Russian trainer and one of their Russian jocks, brings out a Smarty Jones filly out of a fairly productive Fortunate Prospect mare.

Will be overlayed, and just may offer some value

This is good stuff.

I get the chance to bet my heart and my head on Inflate My Ego. Thanks for bringing it here.

Olga Nowak is Polish.

It appears Glockenburg LLC purchased the Buckram Oak/Four Roses property (130 acres) in Citra for $3,000,000 in October 2011. They have their own training track on property. The old training facility was Four Roses (FRR) and they have changed the name to Glockenburg (GLC).

They have a nice looking horse in on Thursday (Mr. Roessink) that ran a decent race to Allies Event last out on the turf, but now she makes the curious move of entering on the dirt. The horse is a Ghostzapper out of a Smart Strike mare with one horrible dirt start and some decent turf and synth races (2 wins on synth). I understand this race is probably the condition she is looking for, but why not wait for a grass race to come up with the same conditons if that is the surface the horse prefers?

0-the Meet... Hoping against hope that something sticks?

I kinda like this one here, and they've got one later in the card Wednesday that doesn't look like it is without a shot either (certainly not probable, but I'm probably including)

The late Pick 4 is going to be an interesting excercise in ticket structuring. Some real standouts early on. If you have the stones to single one or more, you can bang the ticket multiple times.

I don't know that I can... These are some real shi.t races, If I play at all I'll go big and spread.

I feel that way about the early Pick 4. Complete chaos. My ticket is huge and needs some whittling or I am not playing it.

Ness off the claim is a single for me in the first leg - the Dini horse is better, but draws the rail and has to fight the first time Ness juice, tall order.

2
1,2,4,8
1,3,5,7,8,12
2,3,5,8

48.00

and will need to rework the last leg if the Terranova horse draws in

GPK 02-15-2012 10:25 AM

Who's gonna be on the lead in the first leg?

Rudeboyelvis 02-15-2012 10:34 AM

Most likely Rosendo, no? Guidry has to try and send and Goncalves can sit just off.

Off slow, pinched, and checked at the break - never involved...

Didn't see it, but if Adriatic won, I can stop kicking myself for leaving Homeister off....again....in the 2nd leg. I was 6 deep and would not have used that horse if I was 8 deep. It's been burning my money all meet, and that bug is arguably the worst in the colony.

Sorry boys, glad the chalk won there. Not gonna kill myself over 286. 943 would've been way tougher to swallow.

GPK 02-15-2012 02:11 PM

Can't get a feel for this late 4 at all, so only gonna waste $12

02/15/2012 15:10:25 34935264621233 Tampa Bay Downs 7 $0.50 1,2/1,2,5,7,8,10/3,7/2 $12.00 Pick 4

Bigsmc 02-16-2012 06:41 AM

A couple of nice sequences today. Both look to be opportunities for some bigger money. Obviously, figuring out the 10th is the key to the late quad, but the other three races in there are not easy. Many tickets will single Appealing Cat and go wider elsewhere. Mine will not.

I'm looking at going with Peb Hughes as my single right now. Subject to change, of course.

Bold single.

I'm a bit of a fan of Romeo Again in that race. He was wide throughout the whole running and only lost it late to the red hot Stumbling Block in his last.

Early Pick 4 ticket:

1,5 / 2,3,5,6,7,8 / 1,5 / 1,6,8

Thoughts?

Leave off Riversrunrylee in the opening leg at your own risk. Bigs will tell you, he's a game old dude and if he gets loose, he won't come back to them.

He did come back to them against Moonport though, and that was on an absurdly easy lead. Star Player ran significantly faster at every call in his last race and has been consistently quicker early. I guess I'm banking on Galviz and/or Goncalves not being dumb enough to let Riversrunrylee walk on the lead for a third consecutive race. Thanks for the input, Kev.

I'm interested to know if I'm too thin in the 5th or 6th, and if so, who else makes sense.

Get rid of Drica's Luck (#2) in the 2nd leg. Waste of a pick. She's coming out of a sh*t last race. Cove Bay ran a well beaten 4th yesterday at the same level at a short price.

Doesn't she have this race over a barrel pace-wise though?

Maybe. I just think she is one of two in that race that will be horribly overbet. I'm going 3,5,6 in that leg.

Agree. Yes he does stop once in a while, but I will spend the money to ensure he doesn't knock me out in a stroll.

I couldn't talk anybody off or on a horse in that race.

As far as the 5th and 6th go. I have Shan's River on my ticket, not with a ton of confidence, but with a bit more of a move forward, she could surprise.

You're pretty solid in the 6th. I have Vasilea in there as a bit of a chase horse. Her Dec 31 race was pretty strong considering how wide she was. I was hoping for a return on grass and she ended up on the dirt. Blinkers on for some focus and a return to turf may do the trick.
