I guess I"m only 2 points away from 10 bucks eh?? It's Cleveland dala...don't you know anything?? I honestly do wish they would only play 2 quarters.

Doug Collins has made a very interesting
observation. When Lebron (especially), and some others
take long shots and miss, it leads to break outs
(longer rebounds) that give Orlando breakout shots.
This is part of the reason their D looks so bad imo.

I believe you are correct about the matchups not
being the most desirable for the Cavs. I still think
Cleveland can play much better defense than
they have shown.

Mo Williams has been awful. He's been the 2nd guy all year and for him to be 10 for 34 for the series kills them. He hasn't had two straight shooting games like this all year.

This happens standing a watching Lebron.
They need some easy shots from guys other than Lebron.
And Mo has been bad. But you got a lot of games to
go. I just cant see how the Cavs cannot work this
series out. D. Howard is so athletic, but so basketball
dumb. He has a hard time seeing stuff coming ahead
of time and just relies on his physical prowess.

This miracle in no way increases my confidence this series. Orlando could be up 2-0. Cleveland could be up 2-0. So I guess 1-1 is where it should be. AFter Turkoglues shot I was thinking sweep. I think the Cavs can at least get it to game 6 now.

Could the 1st four games of the Conf finals been any better?

No. The best part is that vital calls in each series went against the home team in the waning seconds. That travel call on Lebron was obvious but still gutsy.

As a constant NBA referee basher/conspiracy theorist, I have to say I agree. These games have been called not always well, but very fairly so far. The fact that LeBron was called for two offensive fouls in a row in the fourth then that travel made it easier to appreciate his game-winner. Hopefully this continues, as it makes the games much more enjoyable.

They have been at least called pretty evenly though the refs are too hyper sensitive to tough calls and incidental contact type fouls.

docicu3 05-23-2009 10:15 PM

For the record....

This > 6 T's in the playoffs cost a player the next game is complete bu lldodo.

If your going to use the World Cup soccer code of player discipline at least reset the number of T fouls after either all rounds of the playoffs or something equivalent. If Kobe missed a game 7 in a conference final because of a BS tech. Rasheed has affected the game immensely in ways that are overkill

SCUDSBROTHER 05-23-2009 10:34 PM

Kobe needs an I.V. The rest of them are so fkn lazy it's sick. My guess is we see a big let down now.

geeker2 05-23-2009 10:35 PM

Kobe - unreal

Fisher - no show again plays 26 minutes scores 4 points

No Kobe is a better actor than the rest. Spike Lee told him what to do.

dalakhani 05-23-2009 10:38 PM

Interesting defensive adjustments by the lakers.

Still not exploiting size advantage enough. Bynum is either injured or the most overrated player in the NBA.

Fisher is just over the hill
George Karl makes a lot of mistakes too
Dont they have a freakin out of bounds play? Having to call a to was bad enough. The 2nd mess that they ran when Kmart just threw the ball to Ariza was terrible.

I dont think that they did anything special, it was just Denver getting in foul trouble and Kobe winning the game with an assist to george and Kenyon. I thought they did a pretty good job of exploiting Gasol's size's in the post. Like you said Bynum cant be trusted on the offensive end. It is simply evenly matched teams.

Foul Trouble didnt make Denver shoot 39% from the field and 18% from the 3 point line after they had shot 48% and 44% respectively in the first two games from the field and 33% and 42% from the 3 pt line respectively. Denver didnt score 100 pts for the first time either.

I agree though, there was nothing noticeable except for effort. They were much better on their rotations on the drives than they had been thats for sure.

I almost forgot about this gem. LOL

They played the majority of the season without him.
If you watched them you would realize they push the ball
off of long rebounds and steals. Bynum does not fit this
scheme, especially in his currently immobile/out of shape
state.

Kobe and Gasol.
This is what the Lakers have.

Then pray someone else shows up.
Usually Ariza or Odom.

It doesnt have anything to do with "scheme" as much as Bynum sucking. If Bynum played defense and rebounded, regardless of his offensive prowess or lack thereof, he would be playing. The fact that he does neither negates a potentially big advantage.
