dude Riot accused him of being a wife beater. I would have said a lot worse than the "C" word.

She's going to come back and say she didnt call him a wife beater.. just said he has the same characteristics of a wife beater. (which is kind of true of what she did say.. but i still wouldnt have taken it lightly)

Nascar is certainly not the best internet poster in the world. But if someone had accused me of being abusing my wife I wouldnt be happy about it either.

I'm not aware of what Riot posted about Nascar, but saying one has the characteristics of something is NOT the same as saying one is in fact that something. Inflamatory perhaps but not the same. In any event, Riot is capable of addressing this herself but folks here sometimes seem unable to differentiate subtle differences. OK, just read the repost...again, my point remains, she uses the word "sometimes", not the same as "always" or "does".

even with the word sometimes... it would have infuriated me if I was the one accused.

I understand Nascar's anger about it. Plus the guy cant even make one post with out being jumped on. I think its excessive even if the guy does make dumb comments.

I'm beating a dead horse here but...she didn't "accuse" she implied at worse. Maybe not the best response, but when one is drawn into battle, one will respond in kind, to take her post in context you really have to look at events leading up to same. Now I'm doing what I said others have done, being distracted from the subject of the thread, so I will leave it at that.

Regardless of what the conspiracy theorists say it is exactly the right decision, there is nothing to be gained from releasing morbid photos and the reaction could be harmful to innocent folks.

While I agree that there is nothing to gain by them releasing the photo, the harmful reaction is still a realistic scenario regardless of the photo, burial and so on.

For the record though, I would have liked to see it.

Pictures eventually always seemed to be "leaked" (saddam hanging video). The President certainly doesnt need to release them to prove he's really dead (of course he was killed this week). But I would not be surprised to see them circulate in the future.
