Should be a great night of racing at Los Al.

I'ts hard to follow a lot of quarter horse racing on the east coast. The tracks here in Pa. don't show Quarter horse racing and usually ends early in the morning here. I try to watch a much as I can on TVG watching "The Quarters". What I have seen of Apolltical Time she is one hell of a racing mare. I guess she qualified a early in the year for the Champions of Champions will be tough to beat. Wave Carver has a good shot to win coming from the powerful Jones stable.

yeah,
I think the thought on ATime coming into the year was that she was better at 400,
but she has proven that to be totally wrong.

she can handle the 440 just as well.
so professional the way she keeps to task. every time I watch her run I think of the term we hear at Holypark- "straight and strong".

she is the one I fear the most for sure.

yeah,
Los Al's website will.
I posted a link earlier in the thread for likely starters.

I would imagine that Los Al will have the final pps with post positions up on Thursday or Friday.

I will post it when its up.

Titan, How big of a chalk will Snowbound Superstar go off at. Also do you think the weight will slow him down? Don't they limit it to only 8 runners in
870 yds races

1-5 probably .. Olympic Moment will take a little money because of the weight break. Nobody else can run with them.. I'm not sure if they limit it to 10 or 8.

He won for fun carrying 127 last out.. 129 shouldn't slow him down too much.

well.. the "deuce" as they referred to it turned out to be a 2 horse whacker..

unfortunately for me, the night hinged on the #10 FDD Dynasty winning. He ran a bang up race, rallied for 2nd by the slightest of noses, and left me with 3 out of 4 for a pick 4 I would have had 3 times, and 2 out of 3 in the triple that I would have had 10 times.

boo!

Oh well.. tonight is a new night, and I'll be back there for more to watch the Champion of Champions tonight.

btw.. Mike (Saucon17), for the Marathon National on Sunday night, Snowbound Superstar was installed at 2/5 in the ML with Olympic Moment at 5/2..
I see Superstar getting whacked to maybe even 1/9 with Olympic being clear cut second choice at 5/1 or 6/1

Repent,

Do you think Jacky Martin's mount Country Chicks Man has any shot,
He seems to have good gate speed and he is 4 out of 5 this year.
Wave Carver good make his big brother Ocean Runaway happy if he wins
the CoC like his big brother did.

Did you watch the LosAl 2 Mill futurity last night, Blues Girl Too she was
ultra game last night holding off No Secrets Here by a neck/head. She
wouldn't be denied last night.

yeah, that was really impressive.
actually it was FDD Dynasty that ran 2nd, but No Secrets was right behind them.

Country Chicks Man ran that huge race at Lone Star earlier and that shocked me.
if he runs that race, yeah he can and probably will win.

but I always hesitate to pick a horse like him that has not been running in top class stakes race at LOS AL.
sometimes its just a whole different ballgame when they get to Los Al, no matter what the level is that they have been facing elsewhere.
he is really the only true invader.
really all the rest of the runners besides Strawkins have been running almost exclusively at Los Al.
and he is trained by the king of Los Al, Paul Jones, and ran his last 2 at Los Al.

I probably really dont know what I am talking about.
Im learning the Quarters as I go.
really only been following quarter horse racing this year and the only track I ever play is Los Al.
Ive been playing and watching thoroughbreds for years, but this is new for me.
but tonight is going to be a lot of fun.
best of luck to whatever you play.
im going with Wave Carver.

Same here, but your knowledge of QH racing is ten times better than mine.
Just started following them in the summer. I know a lot more about Arabian Racing than QH. I enjoy the arabians because I seem them a lot at Delaware Park were some of the best Arabians.

Also who is the guy in your avatar pix.

personal hero of mine,
Eric Heiden.

won 5 individual gold medals(speed skating) in the 1980 winter Olympics at Lake Placid, NY.

I never got to see him compete(except of course on tape), but I grew up with stories about his greatness.
parents named me after him b/c as a baby, they said I looked like him(I dont know how they could have known, just wishful thinking) but Ive grown up to look very similar to he did in his early 20s.

I am of course biased, but I personally believe he is the greatest indvidual athlete in the history of our great country.

Tough to watch the obvious best horse get beat in that spot. Be A Bono broke a little slow and was flying late. Really wish he would have gotten there, lost by the smallest of margins. Congrats to Wave Carver

Be a Bono is always slow to start but with that long stride he makes up alot of ground late.

ha,
the best horse is the one that gets to the wire first.
I dont know sh*t about handicapping quarters but Ive got this race right 2 years in a row.

BAB is cool, especially with that rebuilt knee.
just cant get to The Wave.

Snowbound Superstar had to work a little harder early in the race, but
still won by 3-4 lengths. That capped off a $4.20 ex.

I would love to see a match race between the TB Rain Song a monster of a filly
in 1/4 mile to 4 1/2 Furlong races and a top QH at a distance of 550 Yds.
