For those of you who have been to both, which did you like better and why?

I've only been to DM so far..... just wondering.

If I am ever realy itching to go take in some ten claimers all day long by the beach, I will high tail it out to Del Mar. Until then though, call me crazy, but I think I'd rather take in the greatest racing in the world in Saratoga.

I just got back from Del Mar. Saratoga racing is much better but Del Mar is a much better time. There is so much more to do there and the weather is perfect. If you are just going for a day Saratoga is better but if you were lucky enough to go for an entire meet or even just a week or two, there is zero comparison. Del Mar is a much better time.
